Only 15 minutes walk from the city centre Stockbridge has a strong individual identity which is characterised by the many restaurants, cafe’s, posh deli’s, gastropubs and the” occasional” charity shop!
There is a fantastic weekly market held every Sunday selling a wide variety of craft’s, jewellery and food.
The area is located close to some fantastic green spaces being in close proximity to Inverleith park described as “an oasis of green in the heart of the capital” which was opened in 1891. Right next to the Park is the world renowned Royal Botanic Garden with a history dating back over 300 years and walk around the 70 acres of beautiful landscape.
To the edge of Stockbridge lies the Water of Leith which acts as a boundary between the New Town at the Dean Bridge and Stockbridge itself, this has some excellent scenery of rugged rock faces and mature trees which are most impressive.
